Access Statement for BURE LODGE
Introduction
Situated in the small holiday village of Mudeford is Bure Lodge, it is the perfect location for business or leisure. Located just a 10 minute drive from the historic town of Christchurch and 25 minutes from Bournemouth. The beach and Mudeford Quay are a 10 minute level walk.
We have 4 en-suite bedrooms, two of which are ground floor. For breakfast, were possible, we use locally sourced products and cater for varying dietary requirements.

Pre-Arrival
- For details of how to reach us please see our web site for directions. Alternatively you can plan your journey by using www.mapquest.co.uk. We can also post detailed directions to you on request.
- The nearest railway station is in Christchurch, if you require transport from the station we provide this free of charge.
- The bus stop for Christchurch and Bournemouth is 500m/446yds and the bus stop for Highcliffe and Lymington is 200m/195yds, both are located in Bure Haven Drive. The buses (X1/X2) run every 30 mins on weekdays and Saturdays and every two hours on Sundays.
- The pavement outside the house is Tarmac.

Car Parking and Arrival
- There is a large block paved drive way at the front of the premises with enough parking for up to 6 cars there is also additional parking on the road without restrictions.
- The car park is well lit at night by 2 motion sensor lights and a street lamp. There is also a motion sensor light inside the front porch.
- There are two 17cm/7inch steps into the porch and a level walk into the hall
- There is an entrance door which is 760cm/30inches wide.
- Assistance can be given with luggage.
Welcome Area
- Guests are welcomed into the hallway, which has oak flooring and is level throughout.
- The area is well lit with wall and ceiling lights.
- A magnifying glass, a pen and pad of paper are available on request.
- Guests are the shown the lounge, dining room,conservatory, and are then taken to their bedroom.
- A pot of tea or coffee will be offered and can be taken in their bedroom, lounge, conservatory or weather permitting in the garden.
Bedrooms
- Bedroom 1 is located just inside the front door with level access from the hall into the bedroom, the door width is 720mm/28.5 inches. This room has a double bed and free standing furniture which can be rearranged if required. There is an en-suite shower room. The height of the bed from the floor to the top of the mattress is 590mm/23inches.
- Room 2 is next to bedroom 1 with level access from the hall, the door width into the room is the same as room 1. The room has a double bed however the width between the bed an the wardrobe is 590mm/23inches.
- Rooms 3 and 4 are large king size rooms and can only be accessed via the stairs.
- Each room is well lit with overhead lighting and bedside lamps. An additional reading lamp is available on request.
- All of our bedrooms offer the following: Deep pile carpets with a good colour contrast between the carpet and the walls, all bedding is goose down, but can be changed for anti allergenic on request, flat screen T.V's with remote control and an LED alarm clock.
Bathrooms, Shower-rooms & Toilets (Ensuite or Shared)
- All rooms have en-suite shower rooms. The en-suites in rooms 1 and 2 offer the following:
- Door opening to the shower room is 850mm/23 inches.
- A level entry into the shower room. The step into the shower is 200mm/8inches.
- The toilet height is 400mm/15.7 inches.
- The wash basin height is 800mm/31.5 inches.
- There are lever taps in all shower rooms with the exception of room 2.
- There is a grab rail next to the toilet in room 1.
- There is good over head lighting with florescent lights over the mirrors in all shower rooms.
- The width of the doors to the up-stair shower rooms are750mm/29.5 inches.
Public Areas - Halls, Stairs, Landings, Corridors
- All public areas, hall, stairs and landing are well lit with both wall and ceiling lights.
- There is a short pile carpet on the the stairs and landing.
- The hall has an oak wooden floor.
- There is a continuous flight of 14 steps, with a right hand turn 2 steps up from the hall, there is a hand rail on the right hand side.
Public Areas - Lounge
- The guest lounge is located on the ground floor with level entry from the hall.
- The door width to the lounge is 750mm/29.5 inches.
- There is a deep pile carpet.
- There is plenty of overhead and wall lighting. There is a patio door which brings in lots of natural light.
- The patio door has a small step and leads into the conservatory which in turn leads into the garden.
- The room has a 3 piece suite, a T.V with remote control and a low level coffee table.
Dining Room
- The dining room is situated on the ground floor with level entry from the hall.
- There is a wooden oak floor.
- The door width is the same as the lounge.
- The room is well lit with a combination of ceiling lights and natural light.
- We cater for varying dietary requirements however where possible please let us know in advance.
- We have a large range of cooked breakfasts including fish and daily specials, also available is a selection of cereals, fresh and dried fruits, nuts, cheeses, yogurts and a selection of home made jam and bread.
Garden
- The garden is accessed via the conservatory.
- There is a double door leading from the lounge and another double door leading into the garden. The width of the single door is 600mm/23.5 inches and double this when both doors are open.
- There is a 200mm/8 inch step leading from the conservatory onto the paved patio.
- The garden is mostly laid to lawn with some flower beds which is level.
- There is a decking area with table and chairs, there is a 150mm/6 inch step up.
Additional Information
- We have a set of evacuation procedures-should you require it someone will assist you with evacuation.
- We have information folders in all the rooms with a list of local attractions,useful telephone numbers, local petrol stations, cash points, local doctors, dentists, restaurants and public houses.
- The nearest General Hospital with an emergency dept is a 15 minute drive.
